Unfortunately, Adne van Engelen had to abandon all dreams for the GC in the Team Time Trial due to a mechanical issue that cost him lot of time.
Already on yesterday's mountain stage, the climbing specialist was one of the strongest but too many flat sections and downhills held him back from a win yesterday when the group always came together again.
Today, Adne attacked already in the very beginning of the climb and could not caught back again from the rivals and he won the mountain top finish in solitude.
Niko Holler and Suleiman Kangangi finished with the foloowing top-group and secured the win of the Team classification of the day and BIKE AID is now leading the team GC.
