Without the commitment of the people behind the team, the wheels of our team riders would stand still. Anyone who has ever accompanied a cycling race knows what work is in it. Often the staff are more exhausted than the riders themselves. We can not thank them enough for their support.
Matthias is the owner and founder of the team and President of the BIKE AID Club. He initiated the Team in 2014 together with Timo Schäfer and already before that he implemented the first Saarland cycling team over many years with Désirée Schuler.
Anton is the organizational heart of the team, the first Sporting Director, and plays a key role behind the scenes in organizing the team’s logistics.
Léo was a professional rider with Team BIKE AID for five years and has always been more than just a cyclist. He is a true motivator for the athletes and, starting in 2026, will take on a role as Sporting Director and contribute to the team management.
Patrick was a professional rider with Team BIKE AID for five years, has led the Development Team since 2021, will serve as a Sporting Director with the pro team, and works behind the scenes on partnerships within the cycling industry.
Jonas is responsible for our social media channels, content creation, and communication. He is a passionate photographer, studies sport in Cologne, and supports the project with his creativity.
Lucas is one of our physiotherapists and takes care of the athletes on site during races. He runs his own massage studio, where he works with many athletes who value his expertise. His main profession is working at a school that trains aspiring chefs.
