Victor Vidal joins BIKE AID – A new French talent strengthens the team

Saturday, Nov 29, 2025 in Pro Cycling

After Julian Lino, who rode for the team from 2021 to 2022, and Léo Bouvier, who represented BIKE AID from 2021 to 2025 and will retire from racing this year to move into his new role as Sports Manager, the German squad now welcomes another promising french rider.

A fast rise from mountain biking to elite road racing

At 26, Victor Vidal has not followed the typical path of a professional road cyclist. Like Vinzent Dorn before him, Victor comes from a mountain bike background. He only switched to road cycling at 22 years old, yet his progression has been remarkably fast. In just a few seasons, he has established himself among the 20 strongest amateurs in France, one of the toughest and most competitive amateur scenes in the world.

Developed at CC Étupes – a cradle of champions

Developed at CC Étupes – a cradle of champions. Victor spent recent seasons with CC Étupes, one of the most prestigious development clubs in France, known for producing top-level riders such as: Adam Yates, Warren Barguil, Thibaut Pinot and many others.

A résumé that speaks for itself

His results in 2024 underline just how far he has come. He became Regional Champion of Bourgogne Franche Comté, won L’Étape du Tour, the most prestigious cyclosportive on the same roads used in a Tour de France stage, achieved three top ten results in UCI 1.2 races and finished seventh at the French National Amateur Championships. Performances like these made it clear that he was ready to make the leap into the professional peloton.

Victor is a complete rider. He climbs well, holds his own in small group sprints and consistently performs over several days of racing. This is reflected in strong general classification results such as fourth place at both the Tour de Côte d’Or and the Tour de Moselle, the latter taking place only a few kilometers from the team’s base.

A perfect fit for BIKE AID

“My development hasn’t followed a traditional path, but that’s part of my strength. I want to show that there are different ways to reach the top level. BIKE AID is giving me a real chance, and I want to show my gratitude with my performances on the road”, says Victor.

Léo Bouvier: “Victor has strong results, great potential, and a top-class mindset. We wanted a rider capable of growing fast in the professional ranks, and Victor has everything he needs to do just that.”
